Amazing. Well-built. Less offensively priced than much of the competition. Not loud, and despite a bit of coil whine during certain loading screens, it hasn't been noticeable while playing. As someone who wanted to avoid coil whine and bought this card for that reason, I'm fine with it. It's a real, solid 4090 for not much above MSRP, with performance and silent BIOS modes.

I'm currently running this in my nearly 4-year old build, with the intention of upgrading everything else around the card after a year or so of saving. Even on an i9 9900k, it offers massive gains over my 2080 ti in any scenario where I'm not limited by my CPU or 3200mhz ram speed. For example, Hogwarts Legacy doesn't see too much improvement (it's notoriously taxing on your whole system and not the most optimized), but Horizon Zero Dawn at native 1440p Ultra went from 90fps on an RTX 2080 ti to 155fps (monitor cap) on the 4090. It's still only around 75% GPU usage, 63C and drawing roughly the same power as my 2080 ti at around 250W. That's over a 70% uplift for ???????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????, a dozen degrees cooler, and a lot quieter due to much lower fan speed. Aside from obviously flourishing at 4k, this card could do a lot more than that at 1440p with a cutting-edge CPU, RAM and a 240hz monitor. It is a BEAST, and with 24GB of VRAM it may actually stay powerful for a few years. Still, let's be real; the 4090 is overpriced and I can't give it good marks for value even though Gigabyte is being really cool here compared to the competition. I stand strong in my belief that the whole pricing structure of the 40-series is one tier too high; the FE should retail around $1249-$1299, which would put this one around $1349-$1399. Still, this isn't Gigabyte's fault, it's Nvidia all the way, and I appreciate Gigabyte offering this for a comparatively "reasonable" price. If you decided (like I did) that the 4090 is the only card that makes sense to buy for longevity's sake—or you simply want the best—this is a great option.

It is now a well known fact that Nvidia over-spec'ed the coolers on the 4090 so much that they are in a class of their own compared to all previous graphics cards. I have very good case airflow in my old Corsair C70, and Mine never goes above 65c under the heaviest loads. (I did have to take a dremel to my HDD cage to allow the VERY REQUIRED GPU Bracket to extend into it but that did not interfere with my HDDs at all.) Memory overclocked to 1650 and is stable even with an undervolt to 90%. According to my Kill-A-Watt, my whole system still pulls about 650-700 watts when gaming or benchmarking but this card is cool and stable at all times. Fan noise gets a little "whooshy" when pushed but with an EVGA Supernova P1000 PSU I have no coil whine at all. I paid top dollar for this beast but do not regret it. I'm playing Cyberpunk, God of War, Elden Ring at 1440p max settings including ray tracing near or well over 100 fps all day long. It will max out these games on my 60Hz 4k monitor but the smooth-as-butter refresh rates I get with my 1440p 165Hz monitor is worth the trade off. Couldn't be happier. FYI - no melty power adapter, no issues pulling 600 watts with all 4 8-pin power cables plugged in. Power slider will not go up to 130% without all four plugged into the adapter, but that is simply not needed for the highest stable overclock. Overclocks get unstable at some point regardless of more power on this beast and run at their fastest even with an undervolt.

It costs a pretty penny but it certainly makes your games pretty. I think the price is steep but if you are willing to pay for the extra performance you will get it.

This card has worked wonderfully with every game I throw at it. I'm getting 144hz (monitors refresh rate) in most games with max settings. Some games can go down to 120hz but that's only a few. The only reason I give it a four start instead of five is that I notice some of the material (I don't know if it's metal or aluminum not an expert on what these are made with) by the 12hpwr connector seem to be damaged I don't know if it was machinery or caused by something else but I'm it definitely looks damaged.

Pase de tener una 3060 a este monstruo y enserió que es una bestia total, ahora puedo jugar juegos competitivos en 4k como wz2 a más de 144 fps y el ray tracing te deja sin palabras

After coming to terms with the enormous heft of this video-card I was impressed by the build quality, robustness, fan arrangement and the cooling system. The task of installing it in my Phanteks Enthoo Pro was a little challenging and involved removing the drive cages. This was the only way to get the card into the Asus ROG Apex Maximus z690. This motherboard has a strong PCIe slot and the card shows no evident sag. I will however add a support. The generational performance leap is truly astonishing and leaves my RTX 3090 in the rear view mirror. The card may not be overclocked by much but that doesn’t bother me in the way it might bother real hard-core enthusiasts. It runs exceptionally cool even under heavy benchmark loading (only once topping 70C) and is quiet too. My system is powered by a Corsair 1200 AXi PSU, now has an i9 13900K processor and in the heaviest of loads pull 740 watts peak but typically around 400. I have not had any issues with the 12vhpwr adaptor and have done regular thermal measurements that have been well within acceptable limits. I am truly impressed by this card, the first Gigabyte card I’ve owned, and certainly recommend it. I went with the first available card, not the one that I had first in mind, but am delighted by the result. I appreciated the 4-year warranty and ease of registration too.

If you were like me and bought a 4090 just install it and be disappointed by an annoying buzzing sound, let me tell you, you've come to the right place. The first 4090 I bought was the MSI Trio (non X) and that had an annoying buzzing sound. Did a little digging and found that everyone was praising the Gigabyte OC 4090 for having no buzzing noise. Took a chance, was very skeptical like you may be but I'm glad I did. The card has a much better cooler than the Trio and most of all No buzzing. I will tell you though, this card is quite large and a little wider than the trio, so make sure that it will fit your case/configuration. TL;DR If you hate buzzing noise and have the case real-estate buy this one!
